Active duty, DOD civilians and their family members at least 20 years of age with SOFA status are authorized to rent our vehicles. Individuals renting vehicles must possess a valid U.S. Forces, Japan Operator’s Permit for Civilian Vehicles (USFJ Form 4EJ).
Payment
We accept cash, yen, checks & credit cards (Visa and MasterCard). Full rental fee is required upon reservation.
Cancellations
To receive a refund, cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to the start of the contract.
Time Frame
Weekday pick-up times: 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Weekend pick-up times: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.Vehicles are rented on a 24 hour = 1 day period. *Late drop off is available for those who are picking up the vehicle at the latest possible time on the day of pick up and dropping it off, by 7:30 a.m., after the 24 hour period. The late drop off fee is an additional $30.
Late Fee
For HOURLY rentals there is a 15-minute grace period. The late fee (per hour, up to 3 hours) is equal to 2 times the hourly rate. If an hourly rental lasts for more than 3 hours, the fee is as follows: (daily rate – original amount paid) + $20 late fee + refueling fee. If ODR misses a reservation due to customer tardiness, a 1-day charge + $20 late fee + refueling fee will be assessed.
For DAILY rentals there is a 29-minute grace period. Vehicles returned between 30 minutes and 119 minutes after the specified return time will result in a $20 late fee. Vehicles returned between 2 hours and 24 hours after the specified return time will result in a 1-day charge + $20 late fee. If ODR misses a reservation due to customer tardiness a 2-day charge will be assessed.
NOTE: If late vehicles are returned outside of operating hours, daily late fees will be assessed without regard for grace periods.
- Insurance Coverage

Our vehicles come with automotive insurance included in the rental price. However, the renter is responsible for paying the insurance deductible amount contained in the policy (currently ¥100,000 maximum).
