Depart: 6 a.m.  / Return: 7 p.m.

Join us on this exciting pottery festival held at Kasama City, one of the biggest pottery industry in the Kanto Plain. More than 200 local potters will open their booths to sale tableware, vases, ornaments and many more. Learn about Kasama City and it’s unique municipal bylaw involving pottery. Next, we will visit Kasama Inari Shrine, built in 651. The highlight of the shrine will be the bloom of a 400-year old rare double wisteria and a site of that was once covered with walnut trees. The unique and rare INARI-ZUSHI, that contains walnuts, are sold in front of this Inari Shrine. Kasama is also famous for it’s production of high quality granites. Our last destination will be the ruins of a granite quarry. The ruin is nicknamed “the uncharted lake” and is popular for its photogenic scene. See the magnificent archaeological scenery.
