Disabled Veterans
There have been updates from DoD in regards to individuals in this category that allows access to Category C MWR activities in CONUS. However, the use of MWR facilities in overseas locations are also subject to the Host Nation laws and International
agreements. Specifically for Japan, these new privileges do not apply because the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) prohibits it.

We periodically review our policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the SOFA between the United States Government and the Government of Japan, and Department of Defense Instruction 1015.10. If there is a change or update to this policy we will update our access guides accordingly. We have the utmost respect and admiration for all those who serve, or have served in all capacities.
