ODR Tour - Hike at Shimoda Park

First, we will walk on the paved road on the bottom of Shimoda Park along the coastline for 5 minutes. Cross the small suspension bridge to detour the small island. Then keep walking another 5 minutes, we will get to the entrance for Inubashiri Island. Walk on 500m long breakwater till the end of the island to enjoy townscape of Shimoda City from the ocean side. Get back on the mainland and walk 5 minutes to the entrance of Shimoda Park. Shimoda Park itself is a small hill, altitude 69m/226ft area of 33ha/81ac. Ascend the hiking trails surrounded with 150,000 hydrangeas. There are three observatories you can enjoy different view in the park. After the hike, try Shimoda’s specialty alfonsino for lunch.

*It is for ages 6 and up.

Wear: Appropriate shoes and clothing for hiking, Cap/hat.

Bring: Rain gear, Sunglasses, Sunscreen, Towel, Water/snacks, Yen for lunch and anything you may need.
