Snowshoeing (Hiking on snow) to Oyu Cave

Let’s hike on powder snow through the larch woods to the mysterious cave, Oyu. At Oyu cave, you will be able to see the unique icicles called “Hyojun (bamboo ice)”, which grows from ground up. Last parts to the cave will be steep up hill, but it is worth to challenge to the icicles. While walking on the snow, you will have the chance to see the surrounding beautiful nature and its wild animals, or their footprints left behind. An experienced guide will show you around to have fun and spend a rewarding day!
*For ages 10 and up.
*The course may be changed without notice depending on the weather/activity area conditions.
*Sizes for snowshoes are limited. If they do not have your size, you must prepare on your own. Ask ODR staff if your shoe size is bigger than 12.
*Bring own packed lunch. Foods containing water such as rice balls and fruits are possibly frozen. If you are planning to bring the jet boil, please prepare the gas cartridge for winter.
Wear: Snow boots/Snowboard boots/Waterproof boots), Ski wear, Non-cotton material underwear, Knit cap, Ski goggles, Gloves.
Bring: Sunscreen, change of clothes, Towel, Hot drinks in thermos bottle, Lunch/Snacks, Yen for anything you may need.
