Izu-Hakone National Park is one of the most famous tourist resort in Japan and is known to be an area of strong spiritual power. First, we will walk for 15 minutes on the main approach to the village of Hakone shrine, which was established in 757.  Visiting Hakone Shrine, Kuzuryu Hongu Shrine and Hakone Mototsumiya is called SANSYA MAIRI (visiting three shrines) and it is believed that you will receive the full divine protection of the gods. Next to Hakone Shrine is the Yama-no-Hotel where we will visit a flower garden and see the view of Ashi Lake, Mt. Fuji and its white snow cap, and colorful azalea flowers. Walk on the promenade in the garden where 3,000 azaleas are intricately trimmed. Next, we will take a ride on a ropeway to the top of Komagatae where Hakone Mototsumiya shrine is located. Enjoy the magnificent view at the summit. Taking a boat or hiking through a trail are the only way to get to Kuzuryu Hongu Shrine. Walk for 30 minutes, pray at the Hongu Shrine and walk another 30 minutes toward Kojiri area for lunch. Enjoy lunch at the lake side restaurants, then transfer to Tenseien Ryokan. There is a waterfall in their garden that is considered as a spiritual power spot as well. Gaze the waterfall and soak your feet at a foot spa.
