Battle of the Smoke BBQ Competition

Competition categories: Beef, Chicken, Pork, and Side Dishes

Join us to kick off the summer season with the USAG Japan BBQ competition.

Participants can cook at their quarters or barracks, those living off post can cook and be judged at Dewey Park. Judging starts at 2 PM. Participants will gather at the SHA Club at 6:30 PM to share their entries with other participants and find out who will be crowned the champion in their category. Live music will follow to round out the day.

All participants need to prepare enough protein to share a sample with the judges and their fellow participants.  Participants can also prepare their favorite sides for entry.

ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE TURNED IN AT THE COMMUNITY RECREATION CENTER (Bldg. 267) OUTDOOR RECREATION COUNTER, BY 15 MAY 2026.  Late submissions will NOT be accepted.

Please be aware that judging starts at 1400. Ensure that any items that you are preparing to be judged on are completed by this time.

All participants will gather at the SHA Club, at 1830 to share their entries with other participants. The winners from each category will be determined at this time.
