Hakone Open-Air Museum & Yosegi Wooden Craft

Do you like art? Hakone Open-Air Museum is an outdoor and indoor museum where you can see, feel and touch the art. Sculpture with an open feel was being made from a variety of different materials, replacing traditional sculpture focusing on weighty solidity. At the museum, there are some restaurants and a café for lunch. After the museum, we will stop by Yosegi Wooden Mosaic craft shop. Yosegi-Zaiku is the name of a tradition-al Japanese craft that uses many different kinds of wood in combination to produce beautiful and intricate patterns by utilizing the differences in color between each type of wood. We will make coaster by using 40 small pieces and you can bring home as a souvenir.
