Amaterasu Omikami is considered as the ancestor of imperial families and only arrowed to visit there by the official order from the emperor in ancient time. After Kamakura period (1185-1333), it opened to the public and “Oisemairi”, visiting Ise Shrine became one of the big life events for the people of those days.
