Access all the Child & Youth Services (CYS) programs you love - at one convenient on-post location: Parent & Outreach Services. We help military Families find and enroll in child care, youth activities, and Family support programs that fit your needs. (Not all programs available at all locations. If you have questions contact your local Parent and Outreach Services office.)

Getting Started with CYS

The first step to participating in CYS programs and activities is registration. Start your CYS registration process with Parent Central Services, where they will verify eligibility (based on the sponsor’s status) with your military or DoW Civilian ID card.

  • Children ages – 0-12 years
    • CYS Health Screening Tool, DA 7625-1, Tool 1 or DA 7725
    • Child Health Assessment - complete Parts A, B & C or Part A + school physical (due within 30 days of registration)
  • 6th grade – 12th grade:
    • CYS Teen Self Registration Form
    • CYS Health Screening Tool, DA 7625-1, Tool 1 or DA 7725 (only if physician documented special needs)

*Additional documentation may be required for special needs or special diets.  A sports physical is required for enrollment in Youth Sports & Fitness activities.

Child Care Options

CYS provides full-time, part-time, and hourly care at on-base Child Development Centers, Family Child Care homes, and School Age Centers.

Programs for Children and Youth

Sign children and youth up for sports, arts, leadership programs, and skill-building classes through Instructional Programs, Youth Sports, and other CYS activities. 

CYSitters Babysitting Training. Parent Outreach Services offers training for teens on basic childcare, CPR, and business skills for babysitting jobs.

Fees

Child care fees are based on Total Family Income.

Support for Children with Special Needs

CYS works with the Multi-disciplinary Inclusion Action Team (MIAT) to ensure children with special needs receive proper care, accommodations, and medical support.

Support for Military Families During Relocation

Moving to a new duty station doesn’t have to be hard! You can transfer CYS records through Global Data Transfer, which makes it a snap to register at your destination.
